How It Works

Attorneys.com makes it easy for you to contact a local attorney right away - by phone, by email or both.
Start your search from the homepage. If you know what kind of attorney you need, enter your zip code and select an area of law from the list. If you're not sure, use our simple browse tool - accessible from the top navigation. Select your state and city from the browse links to see a list of the types of attorneys in your area.
Learn more about the attorneys in your geographic location who practice in the specified area of law. In the results list, click on the attorney or law firm name in each listing to view a detailed profile. These profiles provide useful facts including the full range of the firm's legal expertise, the number of attorneys in the law firm, and comprehensive information about each attorney such as law school, representative cases, and more.
Contact multiple attorneys using the Attorney MatchSM - Email Inquiry Service in just 3 easy steps:
  1. Select attorneys in the result set by checking the boxes to the left of the attorney name.
  2. Fill out a short form that will give the attorneys some background on your legal situation and your contact information.
  3. Submit the form to the attorneys you've chosen.
Whether you call an attorney or send an email using Attorney Match - Email Inquiry Service, all of the attorneys listed on attorneys.com are ready to be contacted by you.
Attorneys.com Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can attorneys.com or Martindale-Hubbell® recommend an attorney?
A: Martindale-Hubbell® is not at liberty to supply attorney referrals or legal advice, as we are a publishing company. In addition to our website, attorneys.com, you may want to try our companion website, lawyers.com, which includes:
  • Attorney Client Relationship contains a range of information including legal articles and the top 12 questions to ask your attorney.
  • Community allows members to exchange information by posting questions, concerns, answers and solutions on the Internet's most active and helpful law message boards.
  • Ask a Lawyer allows members to pose general legal questions to our panel of attorneys for possible answers on the site.
  • Find a Lawyer allows you to search for an attorney in your area and in a specific practice area. You can also search by attorney or firm name.
Q: I can't find the attorney I am thinking of hiring - does that mean I should be suspicious?
A: Not necessarily. Martindale-Hubbell® offers three attorney directories:
  • attorneys.com and lawyers.com, where the attorneys and firms found in the directory have elected to purchase a listing.
  • martindale.com, where Martindale-Hubbell® endeavors to provide a comprehensive listing of attorneys and law firms. However, not everyone chooses to provide us with their information for publication.
Q: What is the difference between attorneys.com and lawyers.com?
A: Attorneys.com is a new streamlined website from Martindale-Hubbell that matches people's desire to quickly and easily find and then contact attorneys. Like lawyers.com, attorneys.com features a searchable database of lawyers and law firms. Attorneys.com focuses on the heart of the matter by helping you to define your situation in your own words then offering the opportunity to select and contact attorneys right away - by phone or by email. Lawyers.com offers a wider array of content to help people learn about their legal situation, the process of hiring and working with a lawyer and the opportunity to interact with others - so consider dropping by lawyers.com as well.
